After a decade of fruitful collaboration with IMA, the Protestant Church of Congo (ECC) has been selected as one of the principal recipients of a project grant funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The total value of this grant is $120 million over five years. IMA is extremely proud to serve as the ECC’s technical assistance partner in a program to address malaria through distribution of long-lasting insecticide treated nets through antenatal clinics. A total of 15 million people in 120 health zones will be served by this program.
The Global Fund believes in recognizing the capacity of local organizations to administer major programs and this fits in very well with IMA’s vision of long-term health service sustainability in a national context.
