IMA World Health proudly joins the global health community by calling attention to World Malaria Day 2012.
Malaria kills roughly 655,000 people every year, and most of the 216 million cases of malaria are found in the poorest countries of the world. On April 25, we take aim at this controllable disease during World Malaria Day with a new theme – Sustain Gains, Save Lives: Invest in Malaria.
And IMA World Health stands with the global health community in an effort to raise awareness, increase research, implement changes and attract new organizations to this global effort. For the past 10 years, IMA has contributed to malaria prevention, care and treatment in numerous endemic countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan and Tanzania.
