IMA World Health Board member Prof. Henry Mosley, MD, MPH, will receive a major award from the International Health Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA) on Oct. 31 at APHA’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
Prof. Mosley, a long-time professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and well known leader in the international health community, will receive the International Health Section’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in International Health.
The award honors visionaries and leaders who have shaped the direction of international health through the quality of their work, their creativity, and their innovativeness. Mosley played a significant role in the development of oral rehydration therapy, an intervention which has saved millions of lives.
