Representatives from the Eglise Du Christ Au Congo (ECC) visited IMA to reaffirm an ongoing relationship in the Democratic Republic of Congo that spans more than 12 years.
The partnership between IMA and the ECC has improved the lives of millions of Congolese through the USAID-funded SANRU III project (2000-2005) by strengthening the health systems in the country.
SANRU III eventually paved the way for a second USAID funded program named Project AXXes (2006-2011) which was led by IMA with the ECC as one of the implementing partners.
The main objective of Project AXXes was to improve the availability, quality and capacity of overall health care in 57 rural health zones adversely affected by years of civil war, neglect and relative isolation.
“Thanks to IMA, the Eglise Du Christ Au Congo has been able to do many things in the country – especially during crisis,” said Rev. Milenge Mwenelwata, Vice President of the ECC.
