IMA World Health President & CEO Rick Santos will appear on Witness: Caught By Disaster Sunday, July 10^th at 1pm EST on the National Geographic Channel.

The show weaves stunning video footage and eyewitness accounts to tell the story of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

A portion of the documentary will focus on the story of the Hotel Montana and those who were rescued from the front of the collapsed building. Rick Santos was trapped for 55 hours beneath the rubble of the Hotel Montana with IMA colleagues Dr. Sarla Chand and Ann Varghese. Two friends, buried with them, eventually lost their lives.

The harrowing experience and the loss, coupled with the extreme devastation that Haiti and its people suffered in the earthquake, led Mr. Santos to vow to help Haiti rebuild, “for as long as it takes”.
