LWR Gives Award to IMA

IMA Receives Friend of LWR Award :

New Windsor, MD – On Thursday May 13^th the President and CEO of IMA World Health, Richard L. Santos, received on behalf of IMA an award from Lutheran World Relief (LWR) which held its annual Board meeting on the Brethren Service Center campus May 13-14.  The Friend of LWR Award was given on the basis of ‘Exemplary Provision of Health Resources’ and is the result of 50 years of partnership and collaboration since IMA’s founding in 1960. 

Since 1960, IMA has procured tens of millions of dollars worth of medicines and medical supplies for consolidation and shipment by LWR to countries in need around the world.  IMA is proud and honored to have received this award and looks forward to a long future of cooperation and partnership with LWR in the next fifty years, and beyond.
