On April 25th, representatives from IMA World Health in South Sudan attended in the 5th World Malaria Day commemoration in Nyakuron Cultural Center in Juba. The theme for the day was “Sustain Gains, Save Lives: Invest in Malaria."
IMA World Health is a partner in the struggle against malaria in many countries. In South Sudan, one of the leading causes of death is Malaria and pregnant women and children under 5 are the most vulnerable to the disease.
IMA, with support from Global Fund, is providing over 1.5M mosquito nets in Upper Nile and Jonglei states (two of the ten states in South Sudan) targeting pregnant women and children under the age of five.
