Through a Global Fund program with the Eglise du Chris au Congo (ECC), since 2006 IMA World Health has supported activities that prevent and correctly treat HIV/AIDS in 55 health zones in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Program activities include education on disease prevention, voluntary testing and counseling and, in some areas, treatment in collaboration with local partners. The Global Fund program is conducted in conjunction with a prevention and treatment program for malaria.
IMA's specific role is providing grant management, finance and accounting expertise and capacity-building and compliance training.
This program is funded until 2011.
