The IMA Medicine Box®

Each Medicine Box® contains enough medicine and supplies to treat up to 1,000
people for approximately two months.

Sending Hope Where it's Needed Most

Whether responding to a natural disaster or the needs of a war-torn population, Medicine Boxes® are found in many corners of a hurting world.

In developing countries, medical staff often lack essential supplies to provide even the most basic care. The IMA Medicine Box® is a mobile treasure chest for clinics and hospitals, providing medicines and supplies to treat a variety of common illnesses.

Great Impact in a Small Package

Each Medicine Box® contains enough medicine and supplies to treat up to 1,000 people for approximately two months, including pain medications, antibiotics and first aid items.

To date, the Medicine Box® program has treated over 11 million people in 52 countries. Last year alone, IMA distributed 511 Medicine Boxes® to 36 nations, equipping more than 200 medical mission teams with more than $1.9 million in donated products.

Success Story: IMA at work

Welcomed Relief: Medicine Boxes® in Haiti

In the fall of 2008, IMA delivered more than $250,000 in Medicine Box®
supplies to the Association of Christian Healthcare Institutions (AISCH).

The shipment, donated by Johnson & Johnson, Merck and
GlaxoSmithKline, happened to arrive just as a series of storms began
to batter the nation, leaving 800,000 people in dire need of health care.

Following the 2010 earthquake over a year later, IMA's Medicine Boxes®
played a vital role in the disaster response. Since the quake, over $500,000
in medicines and supplies have been distributed to people in some
of the worst-affected areas.

As Monica Dyer of the Haiti Response Coalition said, "They were the
best box of materials we've received yet."
