Medicines Urgently Needed in Haiti

In 2009, IMA will provide medication to 2.4 million Haitians to prevent or treat Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). NTDs include parasitic worms and Lymphatic Filariasis (LF), a disease that threatens the health of millions of Haitians.

Of those treated, more than 70,000 people – including school-aged children – will suffer from side effects including fever, pain, and digestive problems. Over-the-counter medications to treat these side effects are urgently needed. In the developing world, these medications are often unaffordable for people living on less than $2 a day.

IMA is requesting donations to purchase pain relievers, fever reducers, antihistamines, and antacids. The relief and comfort these medications provide will cost just $18,500. That's only about 25 cents per person!

Please help IMA to provide these urgently needed medicines. Click on the "Donate Now" button and select "Our work in Haiti" to give today!

IMA's partners include RTI, International. and USAID, without whom our NTD Programs in Haiti would not be possible.

Please give today, these simple supplies make a major impact to people living in the developing world.
