F. Dohmen awards IMA $250,000

The F. Dohmen Co. Foundation has recognized IMA with a gift of $250,000 to support IMA's programs and services—and to help meet IMA's burgeoning capacity-building needs.

"We are immensely grateful to The F. Dohmen Co. Foundation for its support and for recognizing the effect and efficiency of our work," said Paul Derstine, President, IMA. "Demand for IMA's programs and services is enormous and continues to grow. This gift will help make a real difference in the lives of those we serve."

"IMA World Health is an effective and efficient charitable organization that shares our goal of delivering vital healthcare services to those in need across the globe," said Cynthia LaConte, Chief Operating Officer, The F. Dohmen Co. "IMA's powerful impact on people in developing nations is worthy of support, and we are proud to assist their efforts."

The gift is part of $1.5 million in grants that The F. Dohmen Co. Foundation made to charities in 2008 in celebration of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based healthcare company's 150th anniversary. IMA is one of three organizations selected for a $250,000 gift.

This generous gift is important to IMA; so are the gifts of thousands of individuals, whose support provides basic medical care for people in the developing world. To learn more about this gift and the F. Dohmen Company, read their press release.
